The Author is Nina Donohoe who is based in the United Kingdom
Some years ago Nina set out to look for a self help book that would help her to teach people how to develop a sense of direction. Unable to find such a programme, she set out to create her own course.
During her work as an occupational therapist it was always part of her practice to identify the key skills required to accomplish an activity and to assess how each of these key skills affected an individualís performance.
To fully understand the activity of wayfinding she has delved into the fields of Behavioural Geography, Environmental Psychology, Neurology, Orienteering, and Cartography. Her findings have been combined with practical experience
and subjects of her profession such as cognitive psychology, brain physiology and learning techniques to produce a course which follows the natural progression of skills development in those who can navigate intuitively.
